Create a Crown fit for a King with Ogden of Harrogate

To celebrate Charles III’s coronation, the Stray Ferret and Ogden of Harrogate are holding a competition to find two crowns fit for the royal occasion…designed by you!

The lucky winners will have their dazzling crowns displayed in Ogden of Harrogate’s shop window – showcased alongside Ogden’s very own replica of the Imperial State Crown.

We’re inviting school pupils of all ages to design a crown in aid of the momentous occasion. Two winners will be selected: one of primary school age and one of secondary school age.

Competition terms and conditions:

  • Entries close at 12pm on April 21, 2023.
  • This competition is for children in primary and secondary school
  • No purchase is necessary
  • Sortlist judging will take place and be announced on 24th April 2023, based on the photograph submitted
  • Shortlist will then be put to a public vote on The Stray Ferret website and Facebook.
  • All shortlisted entries will need to be delivered to an agreed location and time.
  • Entries must be made by a parent or guardian over 18.
  • Anyone entering the competition must live within the Harrogate district.
  • The two winners will be revealed in Ogden’s shop window at 4:15pm on Friday 28th April 2023
  • The winner will be shared on the Stray Ferret website and social channels.
  • The winners may be asked to partake in PR and/or photography for social media purposes.
  • By entering this competition, you agree for your child’s name to be published on the Stray Ferret website and social channels as well as displayed in the window.
